New music service launched for pubs in Ireland

September 1, 2006 Dublin, Ireland - Today sees the launch of Ireland's newest music service for pubs and the hospitality industry in Ireland.

NET-DJ Ireland Ltd. has today launched a new music service programmed specifically for Irish Bars and the hospitality industry. "We have identified the 9 main types of bars and pubs in Ireland and have created dedicated channels for them" says Garvan Rigby Sales and Marketing director of NET-DJ.

NET-DJ is a dedicated live streamed music service into pubs from its offices in North Co. Dublin that provides specific music channels for venues programmed live and updated daily. The service takes the challenge away from staff who otherwise spend hours loading up music on hard drive systems and may not have the experience or knowledge of experienced music programmers in choosing and playing the right music at the right time in the right order.

This is a music service like no other in that it is programmed almost live in Ireland and sits in between a hard drive music service and a live DJ. This is better than a hard drive in that the music is updated daily or hourly depending on the channel, more relevant than foreign based satellite music and is the next best thing to having a DJ or band at a fraction of the cost. "This will never take away from a live DJ or band however" says Garvan, a DJ himself " but it will give a venue the next best thing on a quiet night or for venues who can't find a good DJ or are too small to be able to afford one". Venues can use this service as a warm-up DJ before their DJ comes on at night perhaps from 7-10pm

"We have the best team of music programmers, sound engineers and technology and software experts to make this happen" says Garvan who himself joined the company only recently after being introduced to the service. The service is streamed over the net so all a pub needs is wireless broadband to receive the signal. The cost of this is very low with the units selling for a fraction of the cost of a computer or hard drive system.

NET-DJ also has the facility to do a live over the air DJ at night or guest Radio DJs and personalities from time to time. One of the channels will be used as the live DJ channel for interactive pub quizzes or special nights such as St.Patricks day or Halloween where a DJ can play the hits live on that night into a venue.
